We at Heat are big believers that you get what you give. That is why it is so important to us to support and give back to the community who so amazingly supports us.
Recently, Heat was so blessed to give back and presented Ele‘s Place with a check for $500.00. Ele‘s Place is a healing center for grieving children and teens. This donation was particularly near and dear to our Heat family’s heart.
Owner, Molly Chan and her children were unfortunately but fortunately the benefactors of the healing provided by Ele‘s Place to grieving families after her husband, Edward Chan, passed away in April 2014 when he lost the fight to esophagus cancer. Edward was 40 years old. Way too young to leave this world and his family who loved him dearly.
The family immediately enrolled at Ele‘s Place and found a miracle in the middle of our little town. Molly and her children were surrounded by peers who had a similar experience and could understand the myriad of feelings they were experiencing. Anger, sadness, disbelief, shock. Ele‘s Place and their amazing team helped the family deal, process and manage all of these feelings in a way that gave hope that one day they would be ok.
According to Ele‘s Place and the Chan family, each week at Ele’s Place, hundreds of grieving children and teens find a warm and welcoming place to meet new friends who really understand how they feel, while they begin to heal after the death of a loved one.
Ele‘s Place is truly a miracle and Heat is so proud to be able to support this miracle.
